Heather is an artist and educator based in Lerwick, Shetland, working across painting, photography, printmaking, and drawing. Her practice explores the interplay of landscape, light, Shetland myth and heritage, using expressive techniques to convey atmosphere, texture, and emotional depth. She holds a BA and MFA from Gray’s School of Art and teach Lens-Based Media and Printmaking at UHI Shetland supporting students in developing their creative voice.
Her work explores the natural world through painting and printmaking, conveying both the physical presence and emotional resonance of place. She is particularly interested in how light and landscape can hold memory, identity, and change—bridging the space between documentation and lived experience.
